Just Chillin

Here's a pic of one of the sanctuary's White Tigers laying on the new grass. The owner is letting them in the habitat for several hours a day to see how it's going to hold up. With tigers this size it's never a permanent thing, but he wants to make it last as long as possible, but it has to have time to take root first. Tundra and Loki already seem to like it.

New Sod for Loki and Tundra

Here's an after pic of what Tundra & Loki's habitat will look like with the new Sod that the sanctuary owner laid down. The two White Tigers will not be seen in there for afew more weeks due to the new grass having to take root and have a chance to start growing. He put them in there for afew hours for acouple of days and he saw right away that it wasn't going to work. One or both of them immediately started trying to dig and claw it up in some spaces, so the tigers had to be removed again. The owner went to alot of expense to do this, and even though the grass won't last too long, he does want to make it last as long as possible, which means keeping Loki & Tundra out of the habitat for afew more weeks. This is a very expensive process and all donations are accepted and deeply appreciated. You can visit their website now at www.tigerhomes.org
